Berlin, October 31 2022 - Mélanie Dufour has taken on the newly created position of Chief Financial Officer at re:cap, effective October 1, 2022, having previously held the role of Director of Finance. Dufour was one of the first employees of the startup, which was founded in 2021. She has over ten years of experience in finance and banking. Before re:cap, she spent more than five years at NIBC Bank, where she most recently served as Director of Fintech & Structured Finance advising fintech companies on asset and receivables-based financing. Dufour has been primarily responsible for the finance aspects of re:cap's digital financing platform, which provides SaaS companies with easier and faster access to capital and converts up to 60 percent of their annual recurring revenue (ARR) into immediate, non-dilutive upfront payments. In the new role, she will further professionalize the fintech's corporate finance division, helping re:cap become the leading pan-European financing solution for the subscription economy.
“I have met many fintech teams in my professional career, but re:cap immediately convinced me with its combination of a disruptive business idea, a dynamic execution, and an experienced, smart founding team. I am very excited to help shape the next steps in the company's development to revolutionize how software companies finance themselves,” says re:cap CFO Mélanie Dufour.
re:cap Co-Founder and CEO Paul Becker: “re:cap has developed tremendously over the last year: We initiated our international expansion, brought new investors on board, and quadrupled our team. The implementation of the CFO position is a logical step to take the company to the next level. Mélanie has extensive experience in all dimensions of finance leadership relevant to us, and I look forward to working with her to optimally position re:cap for the next growth phases.”
